Chemical Element:

Information: Hassium

Known Methods of Extraction

Hassium is a synthetic, highly radioactive transactinide, first synthesized in 1984. It does not occur naturally and is produced in particle accelerators by bombarding lead-208 or bismuth-209 with iron-58 ions. Its isotopes are used exclusively for scientific research, mainly to study the chemistry and nuclear properties of superheavy elements.
